3.24.10 Charlie Hunter Website Charlie hardly needs an introduction. For those who are discovering his music, he's a pioneer of the 8-string guitar, a regular guitar with two bass strings on the low end. Charlie got his start in around 1994 playing little clubs in San Francisco like the Elbo Room. His big break came after his debut record on Les Claypool's Prawn Song Label when he was offered a multi-album from Blue Note Records, one of the flagship Jazz labels.
